This brush preset was designed specifically to do one thing really well – make the lavender bushes in your photos look fuller and more vibrant. Unlike filters or general presets, a preset brush can be applied to a targeted area of a photo (the lavender) so the effects won’t change the appearance of the rest of the photo.
Also included with the download is a second bonus brush, the Blue Sky Lightroom Brush Preset, which will do for your partially blown out (mostly but not completely white) sky what the lavender brush will do for the fields.
Dannie used these brushes while editing these photos from our trip to Provence in the Summer of 2017, so go ahead and see what they can do. This is a great companion tool for the Lavender Photoshop Action, which can take your photos even farther in a more robust editing environment.
Note that in order to use the preset brushes, you will also need to download and install Adobe Lightroom (Learn More). It is included in the Adobe Creative Cloud subscription, along with Photoshop, for only $9.99 a month. And trust us, you will get a lot more out of it than just the ability to use this preset. The download includes instructions for installing Lightroom presets.
You can watch the tutorials below to see how the brushes work and what they can do.
